Reliable portable storage device for D200 (RAW)???
Jul 11, 2006

I will be going on vacation for three weeks to Mexico and need a reliable portable storage device to store the images (RAW) from my D200.

Which are compatible, specifically, with the Nikon D200? (I will be shooting in RAW format. So, it must be D200 RAW compatible.)

I've checked out the Hyperdrive and Epson P-2000. On the Epson's specs page ( http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/support/supDetail.jsp?BV_UseBVCookie=yes&infoType=News&oid=48001&prodoid=49164278&noteoid=56184 ), it doesn't say that it supports the D200- I've emailed tech support for this one to verify.

And on the Hyperdrive's page ( http://www.hyperdrive.com/shop/information.php?info_id=6 ), it doesn't say specifically if it supports Nikon D200 NEF files.

So, anyone using a portable storage device, please let me know which one you are using. And, if possible: pros and cons.

My laptop will stay. But, I will be taking 5 2GB CF cards. So a PSD is a must.

Regards,
JZ
