Nikon 200/400 f4
Can someone explain to me why it is cheaper for me to fly to New York from Paris, buy the lens there at B&H, and then fly back and still be handsomely in pocket? Prices of the longer Nikkords are a real rip off in Europe. Here are some examples:-
400 f2.8 costs $6,000 in USA and $10,000 in the UK
200/400 costs $5,100 in the USA and $7,800 in the UK
500mm costs $5,900 in the USA and $9,020 in the UK
I could go on, but these differences are staggering. Someone somewhere must have an explanation for it. Me, I'm off to New York for a day or two.
