Some recent skin

During the summer here in the High Desert the light for most of the day is really washed out -- so taking interesting pictures is a real challenge. Yet the S3 is really showing me its skin tone capability as I turn the lenses on two of my favorite subjects, my daughters.

My elder daughter Ruby is an ethereal being -- from her pearly skin to her amazingly deep understanding of the world and people. The light in the following picture very accurately depicts her etheralness, I think:

And here she is getting earthy, lol! I love the S3 for capturing all the detail in the shadows:

My younger daughter Iris is a sturdy and strong and intense baby -- much the opposite of her older sis. This was shot right before the sun went down, so the warmth in the picture is actually alpenglow.
