Show your best unique idea for a photo:

I often try to have an idea of the photo I want to capture for a week or two ahead of time. Then, when the opportunity shows itself, I am that far ahead in the game. Most of the time I am happy with the results, but most of the the time they turn out much different than expected.

So, I'm not sure how this thread will turn out. But I'm looking for photos that were planned, that are unique in some way, that you like and may even think is some of your best work, and I am hoping for subjects along the lines of nature, landscape, technology and transportation, etc...

I had wanted to do night shots for a while since I knew I was going up to the mountains where the air was clear. I took this opportunity and got a good shot with a good, very appropriate, foreground.
