Sandisk Extreme III Memorystick Pro for Sony V3 - any actual speed difference?

As my title implies - I know that with the V3, a Memorystick Pro writes at a substantially faster speed than Compactflash does.

However, is there any effective difference between a standard (Sandisk) Memorystick Pro and an Extreme III or Ultra II?

Has anyone actually tested this out?
