Myth or Fact?

Myth or Fact:

(A) Shooting a stationary subject at 50mm on a 20D. You need a minimum of 1/50 sec shutter speed to avoid motion blur.

(B) Shooting a stationary subject at 50mm on a 20D. On this 1.6x crop camera you are effectively cropping an 80mm focal length. You need a minimum of 1/80 sec shutter speed to avoid motion blur. This is because the 1.6x factor magnifies the motion blur and gives the equivalent blur of the focal length multiplied by the crop factor.
