Pardon my silly questions on lighting

I think I am getting close, really close.

I know I am in the ballpark, but if any of you could give me some pointers on bounce flash, that would be great. I have tried the umbrella upside down and that does not seem to help (much).

Coming back here posting pics again took a lot of balls, so guys, be gentle with me!

Seriously, I am interested in doing headshots with four lights seen in the eyes.

Any tips on this for the new guy?
