Technics for processing a lot of images...

Hi!

I would just like to hear what is your technic of processing a lot of NEF files into jpeg. Let say that you have arround 1000 images in NEF and that you like to get nice colors and sharpness out of those nef files...what program would you use?

I will probably have some high iso shoots but I can put them in different folder and process them in different way.

I was also thinking to sort portraits, landscape,, etc... and process each in different way.

I just want to hear which program would you use and what settings?
What is your common noise reduction for iso1600 in NC?
