Is it worth to change the kit lens (18-70) with Sigma 18-50 2.8?

I have a nice chance to buy an used Sigma 18-50 2.8 EX DC and want to know if it is worth to change the kit lens of Nikon D70 - Nikkor 18-70 DX F3.5-4.5? I have read some posts here and still can not consider what to do.

Please help!
