20D for $999 or 30D?

I've read as many posts as I can on this topic, but now that the price of the D20 has changed, I'd like some feedback on the 20D vs. 30D debate/choice because the answers might be changing as well.

I had a Nikon D50, which was all right, but sold that. Next I tried Pentax, which I think was a disaster. All my pictures are underexposed. That's another story, but needless to say my new *ist DL and 16-45mm will be on eBay soon.

I should have gone with Canon from the start, but I thought I would save a few bucks and make up the rest in technique/experience. Well, my two previous cameras severely disappointed me and I regretted not getting the Canon 20D or 30D.

I can get the 20D new in box from B&H for $999 or the 30D for $1349.

My question is: are the upgrades of the 30D worth $350 over the 20D? I'm not overly concerned with spot metering, but what about the other features like Af speed, build quality, etc?
