Anyone with a Slik 614 carbon tripod?

I am considering purchasing a replacement for the metal Gitzo tripod I currently use, and the Slik 614 model looks like a good value at about $250 at Adorama.
I need to accommodate a 5D with a 70-200 f2.8 IS as the heaviest weight.
Another requirement is that I need to be able to take it to the backcountry on my back on multi-night trips, so weight is a real concern.
What are your experiences with a Slik? Any other models besides Gitzo I should consider?
