35mm f/1.4L vs 24-70 f/2.8L

I am at a toss-up between the 35f/1.4L and either a 24-105 f/4L IS, or the 24-70 f/2.8L.
Coming from medium format and looking for the best prime for the new 20D. I am an art-photographer, shooting very few, but manipulating a lot.
After looking hundreds of photos I found the 35mm f/1.4L as the outstanding lenses. But then I started to be spoiled by 24-70 f/2.8L or 24-105 f/4L IS.
The dilemma is - is it worth to lost the functions of these zooms toward the 35mm f/1.4L?
Be happy to get the opinions of the owners of these lenses.
