S7000 Broke

My beloved S7000 quit working today. It will power on but when I get ready to compose my image all I can see through my viewfinder is a garbled mess with a purple tint. When I take the picture the image I get is the one I see in my viewfinder. Has anyone seen this before? Guess I will have to send back to Fuji for repair. I purchased the camera over 2 years ago so it is out of warranty. I have taken close to 7,000 images which isn't many compared to some of you so I am surprised that it has malfunctioned on me at this point. It did fall off my desk onto a carpeted floor about a week ago but I have taken 50 or 60 images since then with no problem. Thanks to anyone who could offer some help.
