Canon 35L VS Canon 16-35L

I have the 35L and it is my all measures a magical lens. Every shot has something extra special to it brought by the lenses sharpness, contrast, and color rendition.

How does the 16-35 compare? If it is also "magic", it would be a great 2 lens combo with my 70-200 IS L to bring to India.

Your thoughts?
