Transfer speed on A620

Hi, in my country large (1 gb or 2 gb) SD cards like Sandisk ULTRA III are very, very, very expensive.

For this reason I will buy a slower sd card but don't want to loose performance on my next A620. I need to know wich is the "critical" transfer speed of this camera. I mean, in movie mode I know it moves up to 2mb/seg to the card. Is this the higher data/second mode or there is another with higher rate??
