Right place wrong glass

I was on a hike with some Scouts when our group spotted this guy. sadly when I parked I decided to leave my 70-300mm lens in the van and take just the 18-70 Kit lens so these are major crops This is a Great Grey owl taken today near Burleigh falls in Southern Ontario . They only come this far south in the winter. They are big at avg. 27" long and 56" wingspan
