OT: Flash Diffusers
Mar 8, 2006
|
There's probably a better suited forum for this question, but everyone here is so darn helpful, I thought I would start on this forum. Plus, I have an A1 with a 3600 HS-D.
I really hate direct flash pictures. Whenever possible, I bounce the flash off the ceiling -- even if I have to use wireless mode because I'm holding the camera in portrait position. There are, of course, those times when bounce-flash won't work -- odd-colored ceiling, too-high ceiling, etc.
I think I'm going to get a flash diffuser. Here's my question:
Which is better -- those little Sto-Fen plastic pieces that attach in front of the flash, or those Lumi-Quest-style pocket bouncers that use reflective plastic to bounce the flash forward?
I'm looking for a more natural lighting look, with softer shadows and less glare than you get from direct flash.
Thanks for the help!!!
