D50 with non-DX lenses

My D50 is on the way. I didn't buy any new lenses for it intending to use my older Nikkors. Anyone have any experience using the 70-300 D or the origional 24-120 D Nikkors? How about older manual focus (I know no metering). I have the 105 2.5 and the 28-50 Nikkor zoom.
