Skin Tones - E500 and RSP

I'm having great trouble getting Emma's skintones right with the above combo. I'm totally new to this - normally I shoot landscapes, and accuracy is irrelevant (I know what was there, the viewer sees what I choose them to see).
Emma's skin is basically sand coloured (a look most people need makeup to get). I get a choice of pink or slightly blue. Sand, I can't get.
Tips?
Or should I use ACR for portraits?
