zoom lenses for Dimage 7Hi

I'd appreciate any help/suggestions concerning zoom lenses for my Minolta 7Hi. Where is a good place to buy a lens? Ebay? What is a good brand to get? What should I stay away from? Do those 3x converters work very well?
