Wide Angle People Shots

Any tips or samples for adding people into landscape shots?

We will be going on a couple of vacations this summer that are prime for wide angle landscape photography, and the wife has stated she wants me to take more pictures with us in them (even though she complains that each picture that has her in them should be deleted... anyway).

If anyone has examples of how they added people into a landscape picture such that it augments the shot (as opposed to completely overwhelming the shot) I'd be greatful for the input.
