Lost my pre-flash

Hi to all,

Just noticed today that I cannot seem to make the pre-flash work on my 5D. I am now using a KM 28-75mm f2.8 D lens which I got recently. I always had the pre-flash on the kit lens. Tried the ADI and pre-flash TTL settings but no go. What could I be doing wrong?
