QImage Pro -- savior?
Nov 4, 2001

I've been upsampling all my large (11x17") prints in PhotoShop 6.5, saving them as giant files and printing out of Photoshop to my Epson 1270.

Over the weekend I got QImage Pro and it seems to do everything I am doing better than PhotoSHop does it and much easier. Can this be so?

If I take a standard 4 or 5 MPixel digital camera output, a JPG file, and print at 11x17 in QImage, do I understand correctly that QImage -- BY ITSELF -- will see that I don't have enough data and UPSAMPLE at the highest possible quality my picture, then print it at 244 DPI or better to the Epson?

I guess what I'm startled by is the AUTOMATICNESS of this, that is, QImage knowing what to do and doing in, regardless of the beginning quality of the image it's given.

Thanks for any comments or advice--
