Well, either the D200 exceeds all my expectations for noise at high ISO or I have found something weird. Sorry there is no exif information in these shots because the Gimp strips it at the moment. I can post it though.

I thought I'd see what would happen with multiple exposures one in B&W and the other colour. I found you can't do this so altered the exposure between shots instead (seeing as how I was commited). The result is a worthless picture but to me, the lack of noise is amazing. The shot is two exposures one slightly under exposed with the camera sitting on the table. Both exposures are at ISO 1600 and the shot has been lightly sharpened.

It may have nothing to do with the double exposure but I don't think I'll be afraid of high ISO with this camera.
