600mm f4 tripod and monopod recommendations

I am in the process of purchasing a Canon 600mm f4 and know I am going to need some support. I have a Gitzo 2227 but something tells me thats not the way to go with the 600 and a 1DMKii. Any recommendations on a tripod and monopod setup. Going to be doing mostly nature but some sports also.
