Pongal

Pongal is a sweet made with rice, milk and jaggery (sugarcane candy). Pongal is also the name of a harvest festival in my place (Tamilnadu, south India). It is celebrated to thank Sun God with a puja (prayer) and offering pongal sweet. When mom makes pongal in the stove, children wait for the sweet to overflow from the pot and they shout "pongalo pongal." The kids are my daughter and my brother's son.
I and my brother returned from US 7 years ago after a 4 year stint and we are blessed with marriage and 2 kids each. Parents are happy to have us back.
IT Offshoring is probably a bad word in western world but that gave us the opportunity to be back with our family and celebrate traditional festivals like this one.
Also took a pic of my son and pasted it on a pic of flower I took last year.

Don't knock the benefits of relaxation. A refreshed soul can be a truly creative soul, and a truly creative soul is a productive soul.
