i need a proof reader

The 5 feet close focus of the 70-200 would be a pain in my opinion

I have the 80-200 2.8 and it sure is for me when shooting people indoors, plus it’s big. I’m not an event specialist so give weight to the views of those who make there living at it. If you were in a big hall I could see the 70 -200 working

All the VR/IS in the world wont stop a moving child only shutter speed can do that. I’d still say 17-55 on one body and the 85 1.4(wish I had one) on a second. The 28-70 would be my second choice. I have the 28-105 and yes its sharp and the macro is handy but it’s just not bright enough for a lot of indoor work. When I take it to a situation like the one you describe I wind up only using it for the 60-105 range and it’s not in the same league as the 17-55
