DK17m and Dk19

I have both the Dk17M and Rubber Eye Cap DK19. I love both and want to work with the all the time, however, I can't seem to keep the Rubber Cap attached to the Dk17M for an entire shoot. Is there anyone out there with similar problems and more imprtantly any solutions.
