Totally Discouraged
Oct 14, 2005

I posted earlier... about not knowing what I'm doing with the 5D unless I use the pre-programmed modes.. (I could have saved a bunch of money and used my Sony SSC-T1 for that).

I've been reading books, tutorials, websites, forum and everything I can about photography since buying the camera. I understand the difference between high and low f/stops and high and low shutter speeds. I know that ISO 100 is for brighter conditions and the higher the number, the darker situation you use it. I also know that it produces more noise.

I just purchased the book totally written about the KM Maxxum 7D and 5D (300 pages).... I learnt a few tips, but I still can't take a picture without either being in a pre-programmed mode, or fixing it with photoshop...

I'm just getting totally discouraged. I hate when I can't do something...

I posted a picture that I took last sunday.. it was cloudy...overcast day...

Apeture Priority
ISO (i had it on auto - the camera set it to 400)
focal length 100mm
spot metering

sorry if i'm whining, but I'm just really aggrivated at myself for not being able to do this... sigh

thanks for any reply's...
