Is this a time bomb!!

Last week we have heard of Nikon's service advisory notice. Now this week we heard the same thing from Fuji and very recently from Canon. Is this some kind of time bomb or a new generation of virus hitting the digital camera world. Well done Nikon (although I'm a Canon user) for being the first and having the courage of posting your service advisory notice. I don't know if we would have heard from the other manufactuers if it wasn't for Nikon's courage!! Lets hope there are no more viruses ready to hit our digital cameras.
