r1 not what i expected

I am really disappointed with R1 review and news

It in my view it misses everything I myself and probably many other users expected and welcomed in F sony cameras

• swivel body

• laser assist (low light situations)

• IR capability

And it was released way too late (i already got Rebel XT with 18-200mm sigma and 50mm/1.4)

I still love dearly and use my trusted f717 for IR and street candid shots, and I am very disappointed that there is no new replacement for fuctions above.

Too bad Sony... my 1K went to Canon and I am perfectly happy with it, but I will still use my F717 frequently.

In my view it's not about discussions between DSLR and P&S, it's a choice Sony made in commercializing their products and going for the wrong croud. With f717 and f818 we were just becoming serious about photography and they give us 10MP (thre is no significant difference between 8 and 10 at all) and didn't address issues like noise, speed, focusing plus they remove almost all usefull features from a camera.

Well Sony made choise i made mine....
