panorama - convergence problems - recommendations please!
Sep 2, 2005

Hi,

I recently took a number of shots on my 20D with the intention of stitching them into panoramas. (Due to the 1.6x frame magnification, my wide lenses couldn't capture a wide enough view.) Shots were taken from the same spot at same camera settings, but the angle of shooting means I have serious vertical convergence issues between shots.

As examples of 2 of the shots to be stitched, see:

As a beginner to stitching, is any software suitable to correct such problems, or will I need to use Photoshop skew/perspective/etc methods alone to manually join these together? (I tried using photoshop, but as soon as I would skew or perspective one shot, all foreground detail became distorted and therefore completely "unmatchable" with other shots).

If anyone could recommend the most suitable tools I'd be most appreciative.

I'm working on a Mac too, so Mac recommendations please! Thanks in advance....
