D70 reboot trick available?

The little camera has served me well, but it can't give up now.

I just turned it on and everything is blank. I tried different fully charged batteries....on and off.....can't get to menu...put in a card...tried without a card.....

Is there a nifty way of hooking it up to the computer and resetting the default settings? Or is this a trip to Nikon?
