R1800 vs R2400 frustation. Which is it?

I've spent hours reading every word about R1800s and R2400s on this forum and other sites on the Web. I know way more than I want to about gloss vs matte performance, color vs b&w performance, K3 ink formulations, ink droplet size, gloss differential, gloss optimizer, $300 cost differential, and on and on.

What WANT to know is which printer to buy. That's all, just that simple.

I will print some glossy, some matte.
I will print mostly color, but some b&w that I want high quality.

I do not care about $300 cost difference; that is insignificant over the life of the printer.

So I don't need any explanations like: "...if glossy then R1880..." or "...if b&w then R2400..." or "...if on budget then R1800..." etc.

I just need to know which is the better printer overall.

The correct response to this post is one and only one word: "R1800" or "R2400."

Thanks,
