Eye one - profile averaging
Jun 28, 2005

Some time in the past, somebody mentioned about averaging a printer profile. I can't seem to find the original post any more - maybe someone can help me out.

I just got my brand spanking new I1 photo package and I am trying my luck out at printer profiling. The 'picture' driven I1 software asks you to print a target and you then go ahead and scan that target. In order to improve the profile, I would like to take maybe three scans of a row of patches and average the result. I can see no way of doing this under the I1 software yet I recall it being mentioned before. How do I go about doing this and is the extra effort worth the time it takes to generate this more accurate profile?

Thanks

Jens
