i got this nikon teleconverter tc-14b and it has fungus on the inside of the lens element.

Apparently, this tc is a sealed unit so the nikon repair guys can't dismantle it to clean it.

So, i was wondering, in this age of laser where one can get hair removed, cataracts removed, etc, is there a possiblity of having laser treatment for removing the fungus from the lens?

Guess i want to try something before i have to buy another one - i use it on a manual focus 500mm f4P ED.

Thanks in advance...

Peace Out.
