IS the 2200 exactly the same as the 2100 printer

Hi, I am thinking of getting a lyson ink system for my epson 2100 (UK) from Adorama in the USA. The price difference is unbelievable, the only question before I order is; are the printers the same, I'm not bothered about the supplied software etc just the printer. Are the cartridges the same?
Any help would really stop my wife ripping off my ears if they are not, as I've spent the last 2 months persuading her to let me get one.
