Canon 75-300IS tips
Mar 2, 2005

After reading all the threads on this lens and consulting other sites I decided to take the plunge. Although there might be some deficiences in the picture quality produced by the glass, I have already found within in a few hours that I am getting sharper and more contrasty shots than with my prewvious telezooms. This must be due to the image stabilisation.

Being well into my sixties I have found that I can no longer hold my camera/lens as steadily as of yore. but IS seems to give enough compensation to overcome this.

Having said how happy I am with the lens I still recognise the main shortcomings of the lens, i.e. the slower focussing and tendency to hunt in low light/contrast conditions. I can live with this , but nevertheless are there any tips for reducing this effect or otherwise making the most of the lens.
Thanks in anticipation.
