# 50 1,4 or 85 1,8?

I am not sure I understand your question... Shoot from for example 5 ft (1.5m) away and the perspective (three-dimensionality) will be the same, no matter if you choose a 50mm or an 85mm lens. If you move further away with the 85mm lens to get the same in the frame as you would with the 50 at 1.5m, you get a somewhat flatter perspective because you've moved further away. How much further away would you go to get the same in the frame? 85/50=1.7 so you'd have to be 70% further away = 1.7x1.5m = 2.55m. How big is the perspective difference? You can use any lens to find out, as perspective is only a function of distance! Hope this helps.
