Nikon patent applications...

Hmmm. Looks like we might be seeing some sort of DSLR with an LCD preview coming from Nikon in the future. I was searching US patent applications, and found this one:

which decribes some sort of autofocus system for a DSLR camera, involving an image projected through the lens and redirected onto an image sensor seperate from the main image capturing sensor, for the purpose of displaying a preview image on an LCD screen.

The application was filed in March, 2004. Of course there is no guarantee that we'll ever see such a camera, but I thought it was interesting, anyway. More research needed.
