Actually, my daughter was telling me yesterday that this semester's advanced art project is photography related. Don't know the details yet other than the images cannot be "manipulated", so the emphasis is on getting it right in camera (composition, exposure, etc.). It'll be fun to see what she comes up with. She said that her art teach told them that students who don't have access to a "real" camera will get disposable point and shoots... Doesn't seem quite fair.

Thanks again for all the kind comments!

Greetings All,

Took a chance on the weather today, and headed out to the San Diego
Zoo with the family. It was pouring rain when we left home, but we
held out hope that "Mostly Cloudy and 30% chance of rain" meant
exactly that... We weren't disappointed. BEAUTIFUL day at SD Zoo!

Anyway, I took the new D2h, and my 13 year-old daughter wanted to
try my "old" D100. Since I don't have a CPU telephoto, she used
the 75-205mm zoom, and I used my 300mm prime...calling out shutter
speeds and apertures using my D2h as a meter.

Here are a few of my daughter's shots from today (all w/D100,
75-205mm zoom). She signs all her work "Ichigo." (Daddy's pretty
proud, if I may say).

Thanks for looking!
