Question to 17-55 owners...!

Hi,

I am considering buying the Nikon 17-55mm lens primarily for portraiting and landscape. Is the lens worth the money for these purposes? - or is there a better alternative?

Do you recommend the lens?

Do you have some images you wish to share - please post them!!!
