A200 pictures quality

I'm an owner of A200 and have been quite a happy one until some friends of mine started telling me that A200 pictures are much worse than ones from any other 8 mp cameras, especially those from Canon Pro1 and Olympus 8080. After looking at the pics of the cafe at Steve's site I was really shocked...
Minolta A200
Canon Pro1
Olympus 8080
So, is it time to change the camera or do I just not understand something? Why is there such a huge difference in quality? Anyone know?
