Purchase Update Tamrac 514
In reply to Moxxi, Jan 19, 2005

I purchased the Tamrac 514 yesterday and the D70 fits nice and snug with 24-85 lens and UV filter attached.

Not much room for much else, which is what I wanted.

I recommend this bag to anyone else who wants a bag to hold the D70 with few extras (Xtra battery and CF cards).

If I recall this bag (the tamrac) it will suit your needs. For me
I might bump it up to a 515, but I am a bit of a pack rat.

Also, no offense meant to you, but I think the guy suggesting the
mini trekker was only doing that because it is a good backpack and
rather small as far as backpacks go.

Someone else mentioned in another thread the Domke f-5xb bag. It is
10.5L x 4.5W x 6.5"D but that is larger than the 514. Oh and I
don't work for any camera company or bag maker....I just wanted to
toss out options because it is what I do.

I think the 514 will suit your needs, but check the return policy
in the event your gear doesn't fit.

I must not have made my request clear.

I would like the smallest bag possible to carry the D70 with lens
attached and minimal accessories (extra battery, charger, iPod)

The bag you refer to is 10.5W x 8D x 11.5H in. The bag that I
originally asked about (514) is 6 3/4 W x 5 3/8 D x 7 1/4 H.

I know that the Tamrac 515 works because of the posts on the site.

That bag is slightly larger @ 7 3/4 W x 5 1/4 D x 8 1/2 H

Do you work for LowePro or have experience with this bag?
