Answer from Sigma about 24-70 Flash AF Problem
Jan 12, 2005

I just received a reply from Sigma HK as below :

We are sorry for late reply for your inquire.
Because we don't know what happen in Sigma lens with Canon 20D camera.
We do not have this case before.
So, we asked Sigma Japan about your problem.
Until yesterday,
Sigma Japan confirmed the symptom
and recommend not to use AF assist beam.

The EOS-20D perform better than other cameras in auto focusing with such situation.
We can not calibration at this moment, if it can be modify,
we will inform you immediately

Since Sigma Japan has confirmed this symptom, I wonder why some owners of this lens in this forum do not have this problem without the 20D ?????? If anyone wants to buy this lens, then he/she has to accept to use manual focus in very low light condition without the AF assist beam.
