A200 Imaging-Resource tests strange artifacts

Like Phil, Dave at http://www.imaging-resource.com also does a
great job in formal tests including resolution.

Taking the opportunity of your remark, one can see that in Dave's A200's resolution test (see http://www.imaging-resource.com/PRODS/KMA200/FULLRES/A2RES3264F.HTM ) some strange square artifacts (or whatever) show up starting at 800 lpi and up to 1200lpi vertically. The same kind of image defect (apparently a square of four pixels) also appear in other places of the test chart such as in different diagonals. Although Dave apparently accounts for them in a generic way as "artifacts", as though they were something usual, I've never seen anything similar in other test charts even of much lower specified cameras than the A200. Can anyone offer a comment as to the nature of this defect? Is it a typical A200 defect or something affecting only the tested camera? Thanks for any answer!
