What 1 GB FlashCard would you recommend for a DRebel?

I am confused, and believe me, it dosesn't take much for that.

I am to receive my Canon Digital Rebel very shortly, and I have a 32MB flashcard on my Kodak DX4900 which I could use in the DRebel, but it may not be able to hold enough pics.

What flashcard with a 1 gb capacity would a Digital Rebel better make use of?

I have read that for a digital camera the fast saving rates do not make quite of a difference, that these high capacity-high saving rate are more inclined to camcorders,... is this correct?
