Keep the Fuji S5100 and buy the Panasonic FZ10?

Ok I just purchased the Fuji S5100 today locally. I have yet to open it up.... if I do and decide to return it I would have to pay a 15% restocking fee. So with that in mind should I return it and spring for the Panasonic Fz10 off of dbuys.com?

I'm mainly looking to capture family gatherings, sporting events etc..

I'm currently using a Olympus C4000 camera. Uses SmartMedia.

The issues I see with the S5100:

Uses XD memory (more expensive, not common)

I don't have a XD memory card reader, yet I do have a 6N1 but no XD on it. Will XD memory ever gain ground? Or will it die out like Smartmedia has?

The S5100 does feel much easier to hold onto, lighter over the FZ10/20. To me the FZ10/20 feels ackward on handling.
