20D and 24-70 Sigma EX

I’m getting a 20D in a few days and thinking about a Sigma 24-70 f 2.8 EX. Most likely this will be the only walkaround lens for a long time for me. (The kit lens is out of scope ). Here is my question.
Are there any compatibility or other issues in this particular setup.
