s20 or s7000

I am wanting a new camera, and havent had anything more than a standard point and shoot (mju400) for last couple of years,

I dont have too much to spend max =£400 and the s7000 and s20 fit the bill nicley. which should i go for they both seem to do the same things, and have favorable reviews. or is there any other cameras at this price bracket that are worth a look?

used to do a lot of slr as a teen ager so wanting to get back in to that hence the choices (manual controls.
